Loving All Things Fall

Don’t you just love fall and all the wonderful things that come with Fall?  Too many to name but let’s share together a few and see what new ones you all can come up with!

Brilliant Leaf Colors

Hands down this has to be one of my favorites.  In fall, the view out the window seems a bit different every day.  More leaves have changed color and the brilliant oranges, reds, and even pinks glisten in the sunshine!  It’s a sight to be seen.

A great fall adventure can be going out on a long drive to see how the leaves are changing in the countryside.  Tree after tree there’s a new beauty to see seen.  Somehow it never gets boring; just more brilliant as you drive along.

Warm Blankets

Whether a throw blanket on the couch for watching television at night or a warm blanket on the bed to fight out the new chill in the air, there’s something about Fall that makes this all so cozy!   Oh, how much fun it is to snuggle in with a good movie on a Fall night with a blanket around you and a bowl of popcorn!

Flannel Pajamas

It’s also time to bring out those flannel pajamas.  You know, the ones that have been sitting in the back of the drawer just waiting for this chillier weather!  Now is the time to put them on and enjoy that warm, soft luxury of them!

Hot Cocoa

If there ever was a season for hot cocoa, it’s Fall!  It’s a great way to warm up on a chilly day and a scrumptious treat when coming in from the outdoors.

Hot cocoa seems to signify the changing the seasons for me, for never do I have it in the summer or spring.   No… Hot cocoa is that special treat used to help bridge the gap between the warmness of summer and the chilliness of Fall.

Fireplaces and Candles

Fall is a great time to relight our fireplaces to take the chill out of the air.  Often too warm yet to crank up the furnace, the fireplace brings in just the right amount of warmth needed to bring us to a nice, toasty state.

And well, candles are great for every season for me.  But if you are like me and choose you candles by their scent, the fall scents are wonderful.  Scents like pumpkin spice really put you in the festive mood.

What are some of your Fall Favorites?

Do you have any fall favorites?  What are your favorite aspect of falls – the leaves, a warm fireplace, or something more?

  1. Hi Lisa,
Nice post, the color of the leaves is my favourite feature of Fall.

      Mine too Simon!!

  2. Big yes to all of these! Autumn is my favourite season for pretty much all of the above. I love watching the leaves change and the colours are absolutely beautiful x

    1. Lisa Alioto

      I completely agree Sophie!

  3. Fall is my favorite season – from the chillier mornings to the changing of the leaves. The changing of the leaves is always amazing, especially when going for a long drive outside of the city and seeing the leaves slowly change from bight green to warmer tones.

Yes! The season of blankets! Tossing a blanket on the couch and then getting all comfortable to watch a movie is the best, definitely preparing for winter season for sure! I’m more of a tea person for Fall and then Winter is my hot chocolate season hahaha!

My favorite is the weather, it’s just the right amount of chill for a nice run!

      Agree, agree, agree Sahara! 🙂

  4. Hi Lisa! This post has me feeling all the Autumn vibes ? We don’t have much of any of this where I live, but I still like the breeze in the 70-80 degree temps! And candles, too. The right scented candle can trick me into thinking I’m in someplace where a true “fall” exists!

    1. Lisa Alioto

Oh that is wonderful – I’m glad I was able to create a bit of magic for you Catey!

  5. It’s honestly quite weird reading all the posts about Autumn at the moment as it’s Spring here! But then again I’ve missed out on Autumn as I’ve just moved hemispheres! You’ve listed some great Autumn favourites here- in the UK you can definitely add Guy Fawkes fireworks too! Really looking forward to our great colours here next Autumn ?

    1. Lisa Alioto

Oh fireworks – how fun Helen! It’s great to learn the traditions of other countries!

  6. You got a lot of my faves on here!

  7. Nice post. For me it’s the beauty of the leaves.

    1. Lisa Alioto

Ohhh… I love that too Anita!

  8. Great read. I look forward to the jumping in piles of leaves with my daughter

    1. Lisa Alioto

Oh – that sounds fun and brings back many memories Alison!

  9. I’m not the biggest Autumn fan because mist, drizzle, spiders, slippery leaves, rain. But cold crisp mornings and hot chocolate with all the marshmallows are definite highlights! 🙂

  10. Lisa Alioto

    Those are definite highlights!! 🙂

  11. Makes me feel warm and cosy

    1. Lisa Alioto

      I love that about fall!!

  12. Yes to all of these! I love a hot chocolate <3 Autumn is my favourite time of year. I'm really trying to embrace it even more this year!

    1. Lisa Alioto

Good for your Jenny – I think that’s the best way to get through this tough year – embrace the good in it!

  13. I love all things fall. I especially love hiking in the fall when all of the leaves are changing colors. And I already pulled out my blankets and candles.

    1. Lisa Alioto

That sounds just lovely Brooke- you are clearly ready for fall! 🙂

  14. Loved this post! I adore the Fall. For me warm fleece blankets and red leaves are my favourites! Thank you for sharing this ❤️

You are welcome Yaya – I’m glad you enjoyed it!

  15. These are all my favourites too! Nothing better than the beautiful fall colours and staying home, cosy under a blanket!

    1. Lisa Alioto

Completely agree Alex – it’s a fun time of year, isn’t it!

  16. Chris Hack

Agree with everyone’s choices. I’m a huge fan of Yankee Candles and some of the seasonal scents that they bring out around this time of year totally reflect the feeling of being all snuggled up inside when it’s cold, wet and horrible outside.

    1. Lisa Alioto

I am a huge candle fan Chris so I am completely on the same page as you!

  17. Ah gosh, yes to all of the above. I love going for autumn walks when the leaves have changed and there is just vibrant colour everywhere! And then being able to snuggle in with a hot drink and curl up under a blanket is the best feeling. Thanks for sharing!

  18. I love all those things too!! Glad you enjoyed the article!
