What a night it was! ’Be Your Own Boss’ event was sold out! Thanks to all of the Coaches for dedicating their time to inspire and guide the new generation of entrepreneurs by sharing their knowledge and in-depth experience!
We would also like to give a special thanks to all who attended. You guys made it! We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have, and we hope you’ve gathered the inspiration to pursue your business, and excel!
We’ve met some very special people and we sensed the fire in your belly!
We’re sure you guys have what it takes to become the next leading entrepreneurs. The sky is the limit! Believe in what you do, put in the hard work and stick to it. It won’t all be easy, as we’ve heard from the Coaches’ experiences. We understood that you have to be resilient and determined to make your dreams a reality, and we’re sure you guys have what it takes.
Realistically, who doesn’t want to Be Their Own Boss?
Being your own boss means that it’s all about you! What your capabilities are, what your ambitions are and your hard work. You don’t have to follow someone else’s vision that you might not even believe in. You have all the power to run your business to the top of the world. You can take it in whatever direction you feel suitable, choose who you want to include and very
importantly, you succeed in a very difficult challenge (Running a business). It’s not all fun and games however.
Becoming a successful entrepreneur doesn’t just happen overnight. It requires a set of skills and determination.
• You need to NOT take no for an answer.
In your journey of developing your business, you will come across people who will not necessarily believe in your ambitions, or not support you with the facilities you might need. Failure is part of business.
However, that doesn’t mean your idea isn’t great and you should drop it. Most entrepreneurs have had massive failures during their careers, and ended up being some of the best in the world.
Some say, Walt Disney got turned down 302 times before receiving financing to create what we know today as Disney, one of the best companies in the world. So, DON’T take no for an answer! Keep at it, and you will reach the top!
• Seek advice from professionals
In order to have an advantage over others, you need to learn from the best. You need to seek successful entrepreneurs and hear what advice they got to say and what they’ve been through to reach the stage they are at now.
Which is why we have assembled the ‘Be Your Own Boss’ event.
It is very important to receive insight and understand what might be waiting for you just around the corner. I’m sure you all agree with that after hearing what the coaches had to say. All their ups and downs, and how they got past them. • Be Innovative
We mentioned not taking no for an answer, but not every idea you think of is going to be a success. Learn to keep your mind open and not get disheartened when one idea doesn’t go your way. You have to always keep thinking of new innovative ideas.
Take Evan Williams for example, He developed a podcast platform called Odeo. It failed. Then what? He didn’t close shop. He went on to develop twitter. Thats how you should be!
The Future’s in your hands!
We hope you had a great inspiring time at ‘Be Your Own Boss’. Keep an eye out for upcoming events by the Big Youth Group, and KEEP AT IT PEOPLE!
Best of luck!
