A local teacher who has been in school quite a lot during lockdown taking care of vulnerable children and Keyworkers children.
In the evenings he has been setting work for is own class to complete the following day and marking work done. In any spare time he has had he has motivated a team of volunteers to carry out 400 shops for the elderly and vulnerable. Pick up prescriptions, deliver food parcels, make welfare calls and generally care for those in need.
Personally he has made up almost 400 comfort bags to be donated to the Covid wards at ROH and special treats for the children’s ward. Along with one of the volunteers he has travelled around the local care homes entertaining the residents from a distance!!!!
He really has been a local hero and continues to do his best to make a difference for anyone needing help
