Smiles are contagious - they totally count and do create that ripple effect 🙂

Commented on / The Power of One

It can be hard to do but you will be better off it you push to the productive side of things. A trick I often use is to put my worries on a piece of paper and set it aside in my mind and literally. When i come back to it, I often find I can toss the paper away. But in the meantime there's comfort in knowing I won't forget about it because it's on that paper and if I need to think further on it I will remember to.

Yes, yes, yes Whitney! Completely agree!!

Commented on / Is Crying a Sign of Weakness?

Thank you April - you brought a refreshing perspective to this article. I completely agree with you about how time can affect this. Hopefully this does help us all make time to cry when we need that release.

Commented on / Is Crying a Sign of Weakness?

Thank you Han! I completely agree - it's like a soul cleanse!

Commented on / Is Crying a Sign of Weakness?

I agree with you Olivia. Sometimes if we bottle up our emotions they come out in unhealthy ways - or are simply unhealthy to our internal selves. Neither is good. 🙁

That is an interesting way of looking at it. Crying can be sooo healing! It's such a release and it's a sign that you are dealing with the issue in the moment that you are ready to do so. Thanks for sharing Lisa.

Commented on / Is Crying a Sign of Weakness?

Yasinta - that's a great point! Crying can be a release leading to comfort as well.

Commented on / Is Crying a Sign of Weakness?

I agree - it's great to share your successes - and celebrate them with your friends. As you said, people tend not to share the bad things (understandably) - as long as we keep that in mind, I think it can help.

Commented on / Facebook Wall of Fame: Healthy?

Social media certain does have a tendency to present a shaded view - as long as we keep that in mind, we are ahead of the game. 🙂

Commented on / Facebook Wall of Fame: Healthy?

I hear you Lisa - sometimes it can get a bit much! Facebook has it's benefits but it also has some drawbacks, for sure. Lisa

Commented on / Facebook Wall of Fame: Healthy?

Commented on / Facebook Wall of Fame: Healthy?

Corrine - that's exactly what I do. Follow the accounts that uplift us (and my family updates) and ignore the rest.

Commented on / Facebook Wall of Fame: Healthy?

I'm glad you enjoyed the post Sharon! You are so right - it is what it is. As long as we can keep that in mind, I think we are in good shape. 🙂

Thank you Nisha - I appreciate you stopping by and sharing your comments!

Commented on / Facebook Wall of Fame: Healthy?

I hear you Unwanted Life - the new algorithm that Facebook now uses has been disliked by many. Many of us are not seeing the things we want to see first or at all. Another reason to do what you are doing - proactively tailoring what you do see and ignoring the rest. I like to "see first" my favorite sites like Myneedtolive and other positive sites so I can see exactly what I want and ignore the rest if I don't want to see it. Thanks for sharing!

Commented on / Facebook Wall of Fame: Healthy?

It's a hard thing to have that kind of confidence, especially when it's foreign territory. I find that small steps really helps in these moments! And (easier said than done) simply trusting yourself.

It is, isn't it Charlotte! Often time will tell. That's why I think adding some contemplation/analysis before diving in is always a good idea, especially if one is unsure. It's not a perfect process, but it often does the trick. 🙂
